The Sliver of LightIt was close to the end, and we could see the light at the end of the tunnel as we kept trotting ahead. Although we could see the sliver of light, we had to squeeze past some big boulders, and those boulders were placed by our Graphic Design I professor, and they were labeled our final project.
Our final project was to create a chocolate bar based on the work of a graphic designer, and although this project was daunting for some, it was a fun challenge. We each worked individually to create our own unique candy bars, and this is our adventure. |
The ProcessWhile researching, I stumbled upon a designer named Gail Anderson, and was inspired by her beautiful hand lettering, and diverse portfolio. I based my candy bar on some of her poster designs, and I was set on the sketch I had made on the left after presenting it to my teacher.
I began to flesh out the sketch I had created, and tested many color palettes until I reached one that I saw fitting; I was looking for a warm and inviting color palette, and the dark green with the light browns felt like the perfect mix of warmth and calmness. |
The ProductAfter about 2 weeks, we finally slipped through the boulders of the final project, and were left with the approval of the professor. We all presented our projects to each other, and we all printed our project, and even added real chocolate inside to make it as real as possible. To the right is an image of the final file I ended up with, and at the bottom, you'll find the final products that I printed out, and cut.
